I am not alone in thinking that a lot of Bach's compositions sound glorious on the piano. This is only worth noting as the piano in its current form did not exist when he was alive. It was a brand new technology that had yet to experience mass adoption...
You might say that Bach was taking advantage of the base layer to commit the code ready for when the layer 2 existed.

The story goes that the piano hadn't yet been invented but that's not - strictly speaking - true. He was first introduced to the piano circa 1732 (Bach was around 47 at the time) and was critical of the instrument. The feedback, whilst no doubt painful for the inventor to recieve, had a positive influence on the development of the instrument and in May 1747, he was presented with an updated model and gave it his approval. Bach was so incredibly skilled and worked so incredibly hard at his craft that he produced over 2000 compositions, many of which are still performed today. They have been performed all over the planet and rumour has it that when they were deciding what they should send into space as the finest examples of humanity's achievements, someone suggested Bach's music and was met with the response "Well hold on a minute now... we don't want to be seen as showing off"...

THE BASS LAYER
Even musicians tend to remember their favourite piece of music by the main melody or a riff. Even if the song opens with a killer bass line, it usually takes a back seat to the vocals at some point.
Most people don't hear it all. You do not need to understand this to enjoy it. Much like Bitcoin. You will not need to understand the complexity of the time chain to enjoy the enormous benefits of BTC.
